Rennes, Brittany’s Orgöne coalesced in the mid-2010s around indie/avant-rock veterans Nick Le Cave and Marlen Stahl, later fronted by singer Olga Rostropovitch. They treat rock as a Laboratory: stoogian Grit, noise-rock Abrasion, krautrock Motorik, and long-form improvisation evolving into a Psychedelic, spacey wall of Sound. With drums and keys adding tribal and prog-like Movement, Orgöne stand out for Fearless, suite-length compositions and genre-splicing Ambition.
