Palm Desert’s Fatso Jetson formed in 1994, founded by Yawning Man members Mario Lalli and Larry Lalli with Tony Tornay. Often credited as godfathers of the desert strain later popularized by Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, they broaden the template with Jazz, Punk, Surf, Blues, and experimental Pop. Their extended family includes Dino Von Lalli and Vince Meghrouni (Mike Watt / BellRays). They also helped shape early Desert Sessions DNA—an essential root-system Band.
